B.Ed

Diploma in Education is a certificate level teacher training programme that helps in becoming teachers at the elementary level, especially in government schools. The course is also known as D.Ed. Individuals interested to work in the education field and have the willingness to learn the understanding of education and schooling can pursue this course. Universities, Colleges/Institutions, Libraries, Private Coaching Centres, Content Writing, Schools are some of the employment areas providing job opportunities to people holding D.Ed degree. 

The course is a two years diploma course and this course can be pursued as both, full time as well as through the distance mode. The duration of the D.Ed course varies from one year to three years depending on the institution from which the course is pursued. Aspiring candidates can go ahead and take the course once they have completed their class 12 or equivalent examination and have secured at least 50% marks. Add more points

D.Ed full form is form Diploma in Education. DeD as it is generally called, is a training programme for teachers. It is equivalent to B.Ed, but is one one year. Candidates who complete the D.Ed course will be eligible to become nursery school teachers.

• Candidates should pass in class 12 in any stream from a recognised board.

• Aspirants should have at least 50% marks in aggregate.

• It is to be noted that the eligibility criteria may slightly differ depending upon the institute the candidate has applied for admission.
